Happy Sunday! Today I’m submitting a card project for the Runway Inspired Challenge #78: DKNY. I was inspired by the bright colors of the outfit. I didn’t do any stamping on this one, but don’t you love the pineapple? Freshly … Continue reading

This month, the Mama Elephant Challenge asked us to make a project using watercolors… and with a birthday theme. Mine doesn’t say happy birthday in the front, but hey – is always good to remind people how great they are on their special day! I used Mama Elephant’s Origami stamp set and achieved the watercolor stripes freehand.
This week at the Simon Wednesday Challenge, we were asked to make a project using an embossing technique. I chose to do heat embossing, using black embossing powder. I just got in the mail today my Altenew goodies, and I couldn’t wait to use the Geometric Menagerie stamp set! Here’s my clean and simple creation, which ended up being a 4.25″ square card.
Thank you! 🙂
I just discovered this new blog, the Tag You’re It! Challenge, and I think is super cool because you are challenged to do something besides a card. My mom was here to visit for a few days and she left behind her tennis shoes. So I will ship them to her with the tag I just made for the challenge – perfect!
Here is the inspiration project:
And here is my interpretation:
I made the tag shape and city scape with Mama Elephant’s dies. Then I achieved the sunset colors by blending Studio Calico’s inks with Ranger’s Ink Blending Tools. Finally, the sentiment stamp came from an old kit from Studio Calico and heat embossed it. The city scape has some Wink of Stella shimmer to it, too.
Thanks for peeking in! 🙂
For Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge, I made this shaker card with a nautical theme. The knot was pretty easy to make, you can search for how-to videos on YouTube. I did the mason jar window and sea life die cuts using Savvy Stamps dies. It’s hard to see on the photo, but I used the fish, starfish and sea shell shapes. Then I also added some sequins. The pattern papers are from various Studio Calico monthly kits – I don’t think I’ll ever use them all! 😉
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Just wanted to share this card I made for my hubby. He had a great professional accomplishment this week and I am so proud of him! So I made him this card using several sets of stamps I borrowed from my dear friend Adriana. I always find myself using multiple sets when making projects. These were the sets: Paper Smooches My Guy and Wplus9 Superstar. I stamped the star burst with Simon Says Stamp Sunshine ink. Colored the car with Copic markers and adhered it with foam tape. Just a little something for my special guy 😉
